Education for Human Growth
Developing Human Capacities for Teaching
Future education requires the development of capabilities that allow each child to actively participate in society, fulfill responsibilities, and thrive as good citizens and members of the community. In Education for Human Growth, we focus on embodying these ideals through discussions and interactive activities, laying the foundation for advanced practical skills.
Human Education Practical Skills Development Workshop
Envisioning Your Ideal as a Teacher
Taught by university faculty with real-world experience, this course titled "Learning from Experienced Teachers" covers anecdotes from educational settings and insights into the teaching profession. Regular visits to local cooperative schools provide opportunities for students to interact with children and adolescents, which serve as a means to reflect on the significance of communication and personal identity. By understanding current educational needs, we prepare students to confidently face teaching challenges.
Teaching Expression Workshop
Developing Expressive Skills for Future Education
This workshop focuses on linguistic, artistic, and general-purpose activities. Teachers need to be able to communicate clearly to students and explain concepts to parents. We foster skills essential for teachers, such as information gathering, organization, reading comprehension, writing, and presentation skills. Depending on the specialization, students also learn mathematics in a broad sense for general applicability and acquire artistic expression skills.

Public Elementary School Teacher
(Osaka City)Creating a warm classroom environment that values connections with children.
During university, I actively participated in open campus events, club activities, and school support volunteering, which allowed me to gain valuable experiences interacting with many children. Additionally, since the teacher recruitment examination emphasizes personality, practicing interviews four times a week with the career center's staff boosted my confidence during the actual exams. I aspire to become a teacher who can create a class filled with warmth, local love, and humor, where everyone is connected and can share and laugh together. At my workplace in Osaka City, which is committed to ICT education, every student uses a tablet, enabling detailed and interactive lessons.

Public Middle School Teacher
(Sakai City)Bridging elementary school arithmetic and middle school mathematics.
Sakai City, my hometown, offers numerous opportunities for children and students to excel, such as joint athletic meets and music festivals. Having experienced these events myself and gained confidence, I am strongly motivated to continue these initiatives as a teacher for the next generation. Although I struggled with interviews, extensive practice with many teachers allowed me to confidently advocate for my ideal teaching image: obtaining both elementary and middle school mathematics licenses and focusing on connecting arithmetic and mathematics. My goal is to respect each child's individuality and to continue learning as a teacher.

(Osaka Prefecture)Various university experiences will become an important axis in my future life.
I believe that the student years, which relatively offer more time for oneself, are a good period to experience various things. Through teaching practice and volunteering, I practically learned better ways to interact with children. Language study abroad nurtured my ability to tackle new challenges, and club activities helped me develop the persistence to continue tasks. Interview practice for the teacher recruitment exam was also an opportunity to confront myself, shaping an important axis for my future life. In Osaka, where I will be working, there is a closeness among people, approachability, and a rich food culture. I look forward to discovering more of Osaka's charms together with the children.

Childcare Provider & Kindergarten Teacher
(Yamatokoriyama City)Overseas training and teaching practice build confidence as a childcare provider.
I was nervous about my first overseas experience during a training program in Cambodia, which I attended as a freshman along with my seniors. However, it became a significant learning opportunity as we discussed the importance of language in teaching and the value of life across nations. Furthermore, the teaching practice in my hometown of Yamatokoriyama City deepened my commitment to working as a childcare provider by engaging with dedicated teachers and children at the local schools. Having frequently presented in front of others during university classes, I was able to enjoy and confidently approach the recruitment exams. I aim to become a childcare provider who can earn the trust of children and parents and contribute to Yamatokoriyama City.
